We Bay Area residents have the good fortune to live along the Pacific Flyway, an aerial highway traveled by more than a million migratory birds this month alone.

Please join me this Friday night (Feb. 8, 2013) for the opening reception of a photography exhibit that celebrates our winged wayfarers and kicks off this weekend’s 17th annual San Francisco Bay Flyway Festival.

This 3-day event includes a photo exhibit, birding workshops, art activities, guided nature walks, and rumored cameo appearances by the Great Blue Heron.
